If you register on our website, or order from us, you agree to us collecting information about you necessary for us to provide our services. Please note that in certain cases we may carry out additional transaction checks on customers, for reasons of customer security.
If you purchase goods from 1st Bike UK Ltd you agree that we may, but are not obligated to, contact third party organisations to verify the information you have provided to us. Such verification may consist of, but is not limited to, checking your name and address or ensuring any credit card is registered to the person using it.
While we strive to protect your security, 1st Bike UK Ltd cannot be held responsible for any person with access to a payment card not their own, using that card to purchase. If we suspect that a transaction is fraudulent, we reserve the right to decline that transaction for security reasons. We may refer any information which appears to be fraudulent or unlawful to relevant third parties such as the police, or with other enforcement authorities, banks, credit card companies etc. as may be appropriate.
If you report a credit card transaction from 1st Bike UK Ltd as ‘unauthorised’ after you have placed an order with us that has been delivered to you, and the goods accepted by you, we will consider this as theft. If you consider that there is a problem with your order, please contact us by email to email@example.com <mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org> to resolve the issue. Cancelling the transaction with your credit card company without first notifying us in writing will be considered theft or fraud, and your details will be passed to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
If you request a card chargeback, and we have proof that the goods were delivered to you, 1st Bike UK Ltd reserve the right to re-charge the credit card you used to make the payment for the full amount, plus an additional administration fee, or issue a claim via the appropriate legal service which may affect your credit rating. If you request a chargeback after a refund has been issued, you will be liable for an administration fee dependant on your order amount, in addition to any charges made to us. Credit card protection regulations ensure your account is automatically credited when a chargeback is issued. If a refund has already been made by us, and you instigate a second chargeback, we will consider this as theft or fraud, and appropriate legal action may be taken against you.
